Welcome!

Villa Harmónia awaits its guests in Hungary’s smallest and oldest town, Visegrád.
The town and the Visegrád Mountains are popular tourist excursion destinations; their archaeological significance is outstanding, too. Visegrád is located in the Danube Bend, on the right shore of the River Danube, some 50 kms North of Budapest, surrounded by the Visegrád Mountains, across from Nagymaros, where the ferry goes every hour.

Our family guesthouse, Villa Harmónia is located in the valley of the Apátkút stream, 100 metres away from the stream itself. Our guests can enjoy the comfort and cool climate of the valley and the stream under the Visegrád plateau, in a detached environment, yet in a separate, enclosed garden. The guesthouse is reachable via the road leading to the castle, over the small bridge arching over the stream, which is suitable for drive-in as well. Looking from the road, embraced by the dense foliage of the tall trees, the noise of traffic hardly seeps in, yet because of the ideal location of the guesthouse, the town of Visegrád and the most popular places to visit are equally close by for walking and driving guests alike.

Our guesthouse is a 10-room, 30-guest family run business. Our mission is to ensure a comfortable, calming and homely stay for families, couples and groups of friends. When setting up the 10 rooms, we made sure that they would be a practical and comfortable solution for couples and 2 to 5-person families alike, for a weekend or even an entire week.

Besides the clean and well-equipped rooms, a 24-person dining room and shared kitchen awaits our guests, however from the spring, the 80-square metre barbecue terrace is also fun to hang out on with its grilling, stewing and oven baking facilities.

The 16-person, cool temperature wine cellar opens from the barbecue terrace. In chilly weather it can be heated up with a cozy wood-burning stove that conjures a nice warm atmosphere. In the basement, an herbal relaxation room awaits visitors where they can enjoy the services of a 4-person Finnish sauna, a salt cabin for 2 people.

Visegrád is great tourist spot thanks to its natural treasures; apart from visiting the Visegrád Botanical Garden, the Hazelnut Hill (Mogyoróhegyi) forest school, the winter and summer bobsleigh track and the Visegrád canopy adventure park, tourists seeking even more fun can also go on a boat cruise on the Danube.

Due to its favourable conditions and key strategic role, Visegrád has always stood in the centre of attention in history. The earliest traces of human presence lead to the Neolithic Age; since the Bronze Age, however, the town and its surroundings have continuously been a populated area. These imprints of these ages can be found in the town to the present day; the main sights of which are the Roman fortress, the former Árpád-era bailiff castle, the Visegrád Castle, Solomon Tower and the Royal Palace.

The bio market packed with handcrafted items, supermarket, bank and numerous cosy restaurants and terraces await those who choose to spend their weekend in our bubbling little town.
