By tasting five assorted types of pálinka (brandy), all different flavours, participants will learn about the history of Hungarian brandy production, get acquainted with the rich selection of raw materials, the local culture of pálinka tasting and the healing effects of the pálinka. The programe includes an interactive portrayal of a day in the life of a moonshine distillery in the pálinka museum and as a wedding anniversary souvenir, a joint “moonshine distillery” photo with the moonshiners and a night of accommodation at Villa Harmónia guesthouse.
“Our Pálinka Museum presents the development, the heyday, and the reorganisation of pálinka production in Hungary. “Getting acquainted with our compilation of the rich selection of raw ingredients and the colourful supplements born at the time of ingredient shortage, pálinka as a Hungaricum (unique produce of Hungary) will gain a whole new meaning,” says Diána Spáth.
